“Yira in our language means ‘under’ and Djinda means ‘the stars’. Yiradjinda, under the stars.
Our people have camped under the stars since the world was soft and have used them as marker points when travelling through Country at night. The stars tell us of song, dance and lore, and the connection that exists from the sky, to the sea and to the land.
These stories are told around the Karla, the fire, in the Keelip, the camp. Where Mort, our family, would sit together and tell the stories that have been passed down through the generations.”

About us
Yiradjinda holiday parks are run and owned by the Shire of Augusta Margaret River.
We acknowledge that we are on Wadandi and Pibelmen Boodja. We pay our respects to all local First Nations people, and offer our deepest appreciation to them for sharing their culture and knowledge with us.
The Wadandi and Pibelmen people have lived here for over 60,000 years and through generations of knowledge being passed on, have a deep connection to and understanding of what it means to care for Country. Through their careful custodianship, we are fortunate today to be able to enjoy this beautiful region to its fullest.
Yiradjinda is the antidote to the modern definition of forever being connected, ever available but rarely present. It is an invitation to down tools, to look up, and to reconnect with the ancient and abundant nature found in the South West of WA.
OUR VALUES
Connected to Country
We care deeply about our local environment, and believe in Jenna Yen Mundamung (Walking Together) with Cultural Custodians to protect and preserve our unique region.
Nature First
We do what we can to operate in an ethical and sustainable fashion, and are continually looking for ways to improve how we do things across all of our parks.
